Twitter is Working to Solve the Disappearing Tweets

Twitter plans to solve the longstanding complaints people have had with its mobile app. Users who use the software frequently found that their tweets are disappearing from view just as their partway through reading one. Users notice this issue when they refresh their timeline and it happens most often when there are a lot of people replying to a single tweet.

The company said that they are aware of the frustration people face so they are working to sort out this issue. Twitter also added that it plans to roll out a variety of updates over the next two months to address the issue. The company didn’t detail what those changes will look like but promised they will keep the timeline fresh while preventing tweets from disappearing as you’re reading them.

The company is working on the new update for quite a few months. The company recently also said it would begin testing a tool for removing followers sometime this month. Twitter recently began rolling its Communities feature to users.Twitter said on Monday it would pay $809.5 million to settle a shareholder class-action lawsuit accusing the social media company of deceiving investors about how often people used its platform.

The settlement resolved a case that had been on the verge of going to trial. Jury selection had been scheduled to begin on Monday, but at a Sept. 17 hearing U.S. District Judge Jon Tigar in Oakland, California postponed it until late November.
