Telegram has announced a new update that the users can set any sound as their notification sound. The company also added that users could add short audio files that can be uploaded from your phone and also save voice messages as notification tones from a new chat. The new audio files must be under 300 KB, and they must be five seconds long.
Users can also add sound to specific chats or whole groups of conversations by going to the settings. Then they can select notifications and the sounds menu. If you don’t have any specific sound in your mind, you can choose one from the various available options in Telegram Notification Sound Channel. The company has also revealed the new mute duration feature.
The messaging has also made certain OS-specific improvements, including enhanced in-app translation for iOS, which now supports the same number of languages as the Android version. On Android, the messaging app now allows you to adjust the size of the player window in picture-in-picture mode, using pinching gestures or the “X” icon to shut the screen.
