As per the trusted sources of information, the known filmmaker Richard Donner, who was behind the creation of the modern superhero blockbuster with 1978’s Superman as well as mastered the buddy comedy with the franchise of Lethal Weapon, passed away at the age of 91.
The news was announced by his wife and producing partner, Lauren Shuler Donner on Monday.Donner earned his fame with the first feature in the year 1976, “The Omen” and then it was followed by the offer to direct Superman in the year 1978. Donner’s love for the character is all channelized into the movies. He always had to face off with the producers regarding the sound effects of the characters, which will convince the audience that the super hero can fly for real. Christopher reeve, who was casted for the movie was associated with the “Superman” for the rest of his life.
Several tributes were paid to the late director including from the star of “Goonies”, Sean Astin. He wrote on twitter that the Richard Donner had the biggest and boomiest voice one can even imagine. He further added that he always commanded for attention and laughed like no one has laughed before.
