OnePlus is rolling out the first open Oxygen OS 12 beta. Volunteers can install the software on their phones without needing to sign up for the closed beta program.The first open beta is only available for the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro.
OnePlus phones will see open beta programs start at later dates. The next device would be the OnePlus 8 series but the newest Nord phone will be launched first. Volunteers interested need to download the beta software and manually upgrade it. It doesn’t require a factory reset of your device.
OnePlus says as well that the following devices will get the Android 12 update in the future: OnePlus 8, OnePlus 9R 5G, OnePlus 8 Pro, OnePlus 8T, OnePlus 7 Pro, OnePlus 7, OnePlus 7T, OnePlus 7T Pro, Nord 2 5G, Nord 1, and the Nord CE 5G. It also comes with Work-Life Balance 2.0 which includes features that are now available in all regions. There’s now support for switching between Life Mode and Work Mode based on the time of day, Wi-Fi network, or location.
