On the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4, Google Assistant is now available. Users of the Galaxy Watch 4 may now utilise Google Assistant on the device. In addition to being present in the app tray, you can use voice commands to activate Assistant and set it to a long press on the home button. Users may also access Google Pay, Maps, and YouTube Music with today’s upgrade.
Samsung announced Google Assistant compatibility for the smartphone later this summer at Google I/O earlier this month, so it’s coming sooner than some may have thought. Samsung’s senior vice president of products and experience, Patrick Chomet, stated that Assistant will enable “faster and more natural speech interactions.”
Samsung will phase out Tizen from its wearables in favour of Wear OS in the future. The Pixel Watch will debut later this year, competing with the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 and Galaxy Watch 5 Pro. While we don’t know if Samsung will keep using the Exynos W920 chipset in future watches, we expect the Galaxy Watch 5 to perform speedier and live longer than the Pixel Watch.
